Georgia Charter Fishing - Nearshore Fishing Coastal Georgia Fishing Charters The coastal fishing off of St. Simons Island, Sea Island, and Jekyll Island provide excellent year-round nearshore fishing opportunities. An abundant variety of fish are available to target including tarpon, sharks, bull redfish, tripletail, jack crevalle, and spanish mackerel. Nearshore fishing in the Golden Isles is a fun experience for novice or advanced anglers. Especially rewarding is one of Captain Greg's specialty "trophy hunter" Georgia bull redfish trips in the surf during the spring and fall. Offshore Georgia Fishing Charters Georgia offshore waters offer many year-round offshore fishing opportunities. The mild weather in the Golden Isles and St. Simons Island permits trolling and bottom fishing for a wide variety of fish such as king mackerel (kingfish), cobia, barracuda, sheepshead, grouper, snapper, and black sea bass. Fishing for grouper, snapper and black sea bass is best in the fall; while sheephead, king mackerel, cobia and barracuda fishing is best in late spring and early summer. Georgia Kingfish Georgia Inshore Fishing Charters Coastal Georgia's scenic inshore rivers, tidal creeks, and marshes that surround St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, Cumberland Island, and Brunswick provide a beautiful backdrop for inshore fishing trips. Popular species encountered during your Georgia fishing charter in the Golden Isles and Brunswick include spotted seatrout (speckled trout), red drum (redfish), flounder, sheepshead, and whiting. Most species are caught using live bait and the traditional float rig although artificial baits and flies can be just as productive and are a favorite with the intermediate to advanced angler. Georgia Redfish Fishing Charters Captain Greg also offers specialized sight fishing Georgia redfish charters with fly and light tackle used on the flats and in the shallow water creeks that make up the coastal Georgia "backcountry". Georgia's redfish are a sight fishing dream and often found tailing in the spartina grass or in water so shallow their backs are exposed. Georgia Tarpon Fishing Charters Georgia tarpon fishing is spectacular and can't be beat in terms of sheer numbers of fish and in the average size of fish. Georgia tarpon average 100-140lbs and regularly surpass the 190lb mark. Georgia is truly the tarpon anglers best kept secret. Let Captain Greg put his experience to work for you and hopefully take home the coveted boat side picture of your Georgia tarpon! Georgia Shark Fishing Charters The Georgia coast is known for its healthy shark population and infamous for its large black tip sharks. The black tip shark puts up a fight and aerial display rivaled only by that of a tarpon. The Georgia shark fishing experience offered by Captain Greg is second to none. If you are looking to tangle with some of the biggest fish that roam the Georgia coast then this is your chance! Georgia Charter Fishing - Family Fishing Trips Georgia Family Fishing Charters Your Georgia family fishing trip can be a very rewarding and unforgettable experience. The look on your child's or spouse's face when they bait their own hook and catch their first fish or trophy is priceless. When fishing with young children nothing makes Captain Greg happier than to have a child catch that big fish all by themselves (or with a little help). Captain Greg is a patient and courteous teacher and always operates with you, and your families, best interest in mind. His desire is for families to be able to kick back and relax and most importantly show their kids that fishing is about more than just catching fish. You and your family will be at ease from the time you leave the dock until the dreaded time you have to head home! Come aboard, enjoy the day, and spend some quality time fishing on coastal Georgia's beautiful waters. *There is no minimum age requirement, but we ask that you honestly assess your child's comfort level with boating.
